A 10.3kg gold nugget has just been dug up by a group of workers, and it is said to be the largest natural, monolithic nugget of gold in the world to date.
According to The Sun newspaper (UK), recently, at the Zarya gold mine, in the Russian Far East, an excavator driver accidentally found a “huge” nugget of gold while digging. .

After the excavator’s bucket touched the “strange object”, the worker stopped the machine and inspected it, discovering a yellow rock. Through inspection, it is natural, solid gold.

Russian Environment Minister Nikolay Ischuk said that because the excavator scooped up the gold nugget, the sparkling gold inside was revealed, which led workers to discover the treasure. However, no one expected its weight to be so great.
