After the Polish side announced that they believed in the existence of the Nazi train, Sputnik website said that the assets on the train may belong to Russia.
At a press conference on August 28, Mr. Piotr Zuchowski – head of the conservation department of the Polish Ministry of Culture – confirmed 99% of the existence of the above ship. According to him, ministry officials viewed radar images of the ship – discovered by two treasure hunters based on the last words of one of the participants in the operation to hide the ship 70 years ago.
“Before going to the other world, this person told the hunters the location of the ship” – Mr. Zuchowski said about the discovery that he considered “unprecedented”.

“Russian representatives have the right to participate in determining the value of assets on board once found. In this case, Poland is obliged to invite international experts to examine. If the above assets were appropriated by Nazi Germany from other countries, including the Soviet Union, then according to international law, they must be returned to Russia” – lawyer Mikhail Joffe argued.
