Walking the dog, discovering 10 million USD in ancient gold coins

A couple living in Northern California – USA, while walking their pet dog, discovered 6 jars of ancient gold coins estimated to be worth about 10 million USD from the 19th century buried under an ancient tree.
Mr. David Hall, co-founder of the antique coin valuation company Professional Coin in Santa Ana city, confirmed that about 1,427 ancient coins dating from 1847-1894 were found. All of them are in perfect condition.

The gold coins have denominations of 5 USD, 10 USD and 20 USD respectively, and are almost in good condition. Most were printed in San Francisco. However, there is a $5 coin originating from Georgia.

Although the actual value of the above gold coins is only about 27,000 USD, some gold coins are so rare that they can sell for up to 1 million USD each.

Inspection expert Don Kagin said: “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you are unlikely to encounter a second time. A true treasure.”

Immediately after discovering a huge amount of gold, the American couple decided to keep their identities secret to avoid the prying eyes of people rushing to find gold. They planned to sell the coins they found on Amazon and only keep a few coins as souvenirs. The money they collect will be used to pay off debt and donate to charity.

Previously in 1985, a “treasure” worth about 1 million USD was discovered by construction workers in the city of Jackson, Tennessee – USA.
