The mystery of Hitler’s 45 billion USD gold treasure 70 years deep in a deep lake

Hitler is said to have thrown a large amount of gold and silver into Lake Toplitz

After the fall of Nazi Germany, many rumors suggested that Hitler ordered all gold, silver, and jewels worth more than $45 billion to be thrown into Toplitz Lake in Austria. Up to now, after more than 70 years of searching, traces of this gold treasure are still a great mystery to scientists.

At least 7 people died while trying to dive into the 103 meter deep lake. This treasure includes a lot of gold, silver, and jewels that Hitler captured in raids as well as plundered prisoners of war in refugee camps.

Toplitz Lake in Austria is located 100 km from the city of Salzburg, and was used as a Nazi naval base during World War 2. Many historical documents confirm that when they lost, the German army threw away many valuable assets under lake bottom.

An anonymous witness confirmed seeing Kaltenbrunner, the commander of the Nazi security department, throw treasure into the lake before fleeing to Berlin. Kaltenbrunner was the commander of the Nazi Storm Division before the fall of Hitler’s empire. The Storm Division commander’s nephew Michl affirmed that “there is a lot of gold bars below Lake Toplitz”.

A large amount of counterfeit money was found under Lake Toplitz

In 1946, Kaltenbrunner was executed, so the secret of Hitler’s treasure was also buried. Albrecth Syen, a person who lives near Toplitz Lake, said: “Many wooden barrels were hidden under Toplitz Lake during the last days of World War 2. Many people came here to try their luck and search for treasure, but many people gave up. death due to lack of care”.

Mr. Syen said a large amount of counterfeit British pound money was found in Lake Toplitz. The Nazis intended to use this money to weaken the British economy. In addition, other military weapons were also found.

“There is only gold that has not been found and perhaps the legend of the Nazi gold treasure will lie forever at the bottom of this lake,” Syen said.
