An old couple dug up a 14th-century treasure in their garden ​

A retired couple has just dug up a treasure from the 14th to 15th centuries in their private garden.
Many local newspapers said that this elderly couple living in the city of Zhytomyr, Ukraine had just found 90 Czech silver coins from the 14th – 15th centuries.

Sharing with the press, the old couple said that this treasure is so valuable that a coin can buy a cow.

Accordingly, the retired couple’s house is located on a hill, the highest place in the village. Local people said that around the 14th and 15th centuries, an elderly man lived here, and the treasure was probably his.

The jar contained 90 silver coins that the retired couple dug up in their garden.

Worth mentioning, experts say, each coin in this treasure is currently worth about 200 – 300 UAH, so the whole treasure could be worth 27,000 UAH .

The old couple could have kept the treasure for themselves, but after thinking, they decided to send it all to the Korosten Museum.

Previously, archaeologists also found an ancient vase filled with gold coins during excavations in Northern Italy, near the border with Switzerland.
