A man who collected trash and turned into a gold miner suddenly changed his life when he found a 4.3kg gold nugget in Victoria, Australia.

A man in Victoria suddenly changed his life when he dug up a 4.3kg gold nugget at a secret location near the city of Bendigo, Victoria. Gold in this area is considered the purest in the world with a purity of about 96%.

The man said his metal detector made a beeping sound while he was moving the device on the ground.

Initially, he still believed it was a “rabbit trap or box” and was shocked when he discovered the nugget.

A man named Syd Pearson could not hide his joy when he suddenly found a valuable treasure. Mr. Syd Pearson told 9News: “I always dreamed about this and when it happened, I was even more surprised.”

Syd Pearson named the nugget “Lady Catherine” after his wife and had two copies made before the nugget was sold to an American businessman.

“Whether the gold nugget is purchased for business purposes or for display, I am still very happy. It is very rare to dig a nugget of gold in the wild of such a large size in Australia,” Mr. Syd Pearson said.

After selling the gold, Mr. Syd Pearson paid off all his debts and was planning to go on vacation on a boat.
