Mr. Emil Knodell, 67 years old (in Texas) likes to collect antiques. As soon as he heard that someone was selling the old owner’s items that had passed away, he came to see them.
Upon arriving, he was attracted to an 18th-century cabinet with a marble-decorated table top, perfect for his family’s dining room. Only $100 for the item, he bought it immediately.
The cabinet and many items of the deceased are displayed for sale.
As he lifted the cabinet onto the car, he heard crunching sounds inside. Opening it, he discovered a secret compartment containing a real treasure.
Mr. Allen, a real estate agent who made the discovery with Mr. Emil, told ABCnews: “There were rings, diamonds, gold, medals… It stunned me. We were both stunned for a moment.” a few seconds”.
Interestingly, both decided to return the valuable items to the deceased owner’s son.
Mr. Emil discovered the treasure.
“I bought the cabinet, not the other things. If I keep it, I will never feel comfortable, I will always feel like there is a cloud covering my head. It is a very uncomfortable feeling,” Mr. Emil, a retired marketing director, confided.
The son of the owner of the item said this was the cabinet he used to play with in his childhood, but did not know its secret compartment.
